This is the way the world ends This is the way the world ends This is the way the world ends Not with a bang but a whimper.
—T.S. Eliot, "The Hollow Men" It started in a small town in southern California and washed across the face of the world, bringing entire nations to their knees. It took the lives of almost 7 billion people--and destroyed the lives of hundreds of thousands of others. The Plague. Captain Trips. Call it what you will, but the fact remains: the man-made disease decimated humanity in a matter of days. We thought it was just the flu, but we were wrong. And now here we stand--the survivors. All of our jobs and schoolwork and seminars and teaching credentials could never prepare us for what we are about to face. We can only hope that we will live to see tomorrow. Loosely based upon Stephen King's The Stand, but welcoming of everyone.
