Welcome to Animalia! You already know what it's about and if you don't, I'll post a brief summary about it.
Lands of Animalia
Welcome to the lands of Animalia, a place for wolves to run free. Here, your character can be anything you want it to be. Your literacy will be put to the test as you work your way from Omega and challenge the wolves in your pack to rise to the top as Alpha. Or if pack life isn't for you, roam the Deserted Lands as a loner. Ebona and Ivori, Alphas of the Star Valley and Burning Peaks Packs, watch over you, occasionally stepping in to change your life for better or for worse...
Do you dare to set a paw in our lands?
Animalia is a Semi-literate and up site. Maturity is required in some boards as violence and romance is allowed. There is roleplaying boards for less experienced players who want to improve their skills.
Let's get started!
First you will need to make up a wolf character. You may have up as many characters as you want, as long as you can keep them active; But, only one of them may claim an territory. However, that does not mean the others can't be alphas. All of your characters may be alphas if you desire, as long as you can win those positions in a fight.
You may either make separate accounts for your characters, or keep them all on one If your choice is a single account, please put a list of your characters in your siggy, as it makes it less confusing. For now, until you get the hang of it, you should only use one character.
Please refrain from making too many overly used characters like big brooding dark males and beautiful females with icy blue eyes. Or wolves with collars or earrings on and tons of scars. Although they make your character different, they (especially the collars) aren't very special. Doesn't mean you can't, we'd just prefer a variety. If you have a character you really want to use, go ahead.
Before you start roleplaying you will need to complete a few steps:
1. Read the rules. Since you're here, you might have already noticed the sign in caps on the board description. Good for you. If you didn't, at least you're here, yes? Anyways, read the rules and be sure to remember them. You will get strikes against you and an eventual ban if you don't. It's a good idea to read any FAQs that pop up, and to check back to the rules occasionally as a new one might be there.
2. Type up your character's profile. Next go to the Character Approval board and type up your character's profile. If it's accepted, it will eventually go in the pack that you are excepted into. Please put something like this:
Name of Wolf:
Age in Dog/Human:
Gender:
Breed of wolf:
Detailed description:
Personality:
History: (optional)
Preferred Pack: (to help the Alphas of that pack. You won't necessarily get into that pack though.)
Extras: (optional)
RP Example: (please type up an intro/post with your wolf so that Ebona or Ivori can better decide where you will be placed based on your literacy. This is important, so do your best.)
Options -
* If you are a male and there is an unclaimed territory, you may post in RP form for Epona to arrive and give you her blessings to start a pack there. You then PM Epona with the name of your pack and three spots you would like to become available for pack member's to rp in (you can make it up as long as it goes with the original description of the land). Beware, other males that you take in (as well as loners) can challenge you for your title.
* If you are a female or a packless male, you must go to the Plain of a Thousand Echos and wait for an Alpha from any of the packs to invite you in. There you will rp your initial meeting with the Alphas (You rp everything not on the OOC boards). Your preferred pack info in your profile will help Alphas decide if they want you. However, if an Alpha not of your choice arrives there, and nobody else does, then you must go with him. Only the Alpha Male may invite wolves (unless there is only an Alpha Female because the Male died).
* Both females and males may become loners. You may either travel other lands (at your own risk) or rp in the 'loners only' lands.
* If you are really special, Ebona or Ivori may come to you and ask you to join their pack whether you have a pack or not. Generally, that means you're old and have to die, or you will die soon. Ebona's is a special place like heaven, while Ivori's is more like a hell.
That's pretty much it for getting started, but I may add more to the guide later on as more questions arise.
